The KTY temperature sensor exhibits a Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC) of resistance, meaning its resistance increases with temperature.The KTY81-210 operates using a Resin-based mechanism, where the resistance increases with temperature. This KTY temperature sensor features a positive temperature coefficient (PTC), which allows for linear and predictable changes in resistance, providing reliable and accurate temperature readings.

To keep the Temperature Deviation low, it is recommended that the operating current is Isen(cont) = 1mA when the temperature is higher than 100 ° C。

To maintain low temperature error, it is recommended to operate the KTY Sensor with a continuous current of Isen(cont) = 1mA when the temperature exceeds 100°C. This ensures accurate temperature measurement and enhances the performance of the KTY81-210 in high-temperature applications.

  • 1.Pull Test: No cracking, deformation, or damage at the connection between the component wire and electrical wire. Apply 9.8N (1KGF) on KTY temperature sensor for 1 minute.
  • 2.Drop Test: No visible damage. Drop the KTY Sensor  from a height of 1 meter onto a 10mm thick oak board, 5 times.
  • Reliability Test
  • High-Temperature Test: ΔR/R25 ≤ ±0.2%. Conducted KTY temperature sensor at 120±5°C with continuous power for 1000±24 hours, using DC 0.2mA, based on IEC60068-2-2/GB2423.2 standards.
  • Low-Temperature Test: ΔR/R25 ≤ ±0.2%. Performed at -30±5°C with continuous power for 1000±24 hours, using DC 0.2mA, according to IEC60068-2-1/GB2423.1 standards.
  • Humidity Test: ΔR/R25 ≤ ±0.2%. Tested KTY temperature sensor in an environment of 60±2°C and 90%-95% RH for 1000±24 hours, based on IEC60068-2-3/GB2423.3 standards.
  • Temperature Cold and Hot Cycle Test: ΔR/R25 ≤ ±0.2%. Conducted with temperature cycling –30℃×30min→30℃×5min→100℃×30min→30℃×5min, repeating 5 times, according to IEC60068-2-14/GB2423.22 standards.
  • Resistance Drift Test at Room Temperature: ΔR/R25 ≤ ±0.2%. Stored KTY Sensor at 25±2°C for 10000±48 hours, following IEC60068-2-2/GB2423.21 standards.
